Project Description |
The project aims to develop a Vision-Language Model (VLM) for multi-crop stress detection to support Indian farmers. The proposed method will analyse leaf images, integrate weather and soil data, and provide natural language explanations for agricultural stress diagnosis. It aims to be a cost-effective solution that will be deployed in a smartphone, and overall to improve crop production for economic growth. |

Project Fellowship |
Rs. 37,000 per month for 1st and 2nd years. Rs. 42,000 per month for 3rd year, as per ANRF norms. HRA (Accommodation) and other facilities will be provided as per Institute (BITS Pilani) norms. |

Essential Qualification |
Master’s (M.E. / M.Tech. / M.Sc.) in CSE /IT /AI-ML /ECE or related fields with a minimum aggregate of 60% or 6.5/10 CGPA. Candidates currently appearing in the last semester of Master’s degree may also apply. Candidates having Bachelor’s degree in aforementioned or related fields with good academic records or job experience may also apply. |

Desirable Skills |
Knowledge on Computer Vision, Image Processing, Machine Learning, Algorithm Design, and related Computer Science and Engineering subjects. Coding skills in developing Deep Neural Networks, Large Language Models (LLMs) using Python, TensorFlow, and related to the application development required for the project. |
