Ph.D Students

Susmita Pradhan

Susmita completed her B.Sc. and M.Sc. at Calcutta University and joined the NanoBioPhotonics team as an Institute Fellow in September 2022. She is currently working on a project to understand the effects of liquid-liquid phase separation on the structure and interaction dynamics of biomolecules.

Hobbies: Music, reading mystery novels

Shubhangi Sharma

Shubhangi studied B.Sc. and M.Sc. at Dayalbagh Educational Institute in Agra. During her time there, she completed two projects at CFEES, DRDO, titled "Preparation of Amine Derivatives" and "Synthesis and Characterization of Surface Active Betaines." She joined the NanoBioPhotonics Team as a Project Associate in the SERB-SRG project in November 2022. In our team, she is using anisotropic plasmonic nanoantennas to boost the fluorescence of low quantum yield fluorophores.

Hobbies: Sports, Music, Arts

Arun Pratap Singh

Arun completed his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry from Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra, and joined the NanoBioPhotonics team as an Institute Fellow in August 2025. During his M.Sc., he worked on a project titled “Extraction, Isolation, and Characterization of Secondary Metabolites from Ocimum sanctum (CIM-ANGANA breed)” at CSIR-CIMAP, Lucknow. In our lab, he is currently working on plasmonic nanoantennas for ultrasensitive detection of disease biomarkers.
