Associate Professor,
Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

I am currently working as an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS)-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus. I am also associated with the Materials Center for Sustainable Energy & Environment and Centre for Research Excellence in Semiconductor Technology at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus.
I lead the Computational Nanomaterial and Nanodevice Research Lab (CNNRL), where we focus on design, modeling, and simulation of post-CMOS semiconductor devices, two-dimensional (2D) materials, and quantum materials. Our research addresses fundamental challenges in nanomaterial design and integration in sensors, optoelectronic devices, transistors, and supercapacitors.
I earned my Ph.D. in Engineering from the Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur, in 2017, specializing in semiconductor devices. I was awarded the Senior Research Fellowship (Doctoral) and Research Associateship (Postdoctoral) by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Government of India.
I have published 67 SCI journal articles and 12 international conference papers, and have secured competitive funding from the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) and international research consortia. I have supervised two doctoral thesis and currently seven Ph.D. scholars are pursuing their doctoral thesis under my supervision.
I am a Senior Member of IEEE and an Editorial Board Member of Scientific Reports (Nature). I have been recognized as a Top 2% Scientist globally by Elsevier (2024, 2025) and as a multiple-year IEEE Golden Reviewer. I served as a reviewer for reputed international journals published by Nature, Wiley, ACS, IEEE, IOP, Elsevier, and RSC, and have delivered invited talks at national and international conferences and workshops in India and abroad.
Through my research, teaching, and mentorship, I am committed to advancing sustainable and next-generation semiconductor technologies.
