Dr Nivedita is an Assistant Professor in the Economics & Finance area. She has earned her PhD (FPM) in Management (in the area of Finance) from the Indian Institute of Management (IIMB) Bangalore. Her teaching interests are in the field of Corporate Finance, Valuation, Mergers & Acquisitions, Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management, and Financial Analytics. Her research interests are in the field of Corporate Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions, Banking and Entrepreneurial Finance. Her dissertation titled "Performance of Indian Business Groups: Diversification and Tunneling effects" examines empirically the performance of Indian business groups and its interplay with diversification strategies and ownership structures. She has presented her research work at various national and international conferences.

She is also a gold medalist in Electrical Engineering from N.I.T Surat and has around three years of experience in the electrical engineering domain. She has a PG Diploma in AI and ML from IIIT Bangalore.
