About

I obtained my Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi in 2008 and joined Department of Physics, BITS, Pilani as a Lecturer on 15th May, 2009. I worked as an Assistant Professor during 1st Aug. 2009 - 30th Jun. 2018 and as an Associate Professor during 1st Sep. 2018 - 28th Feb.2023. I have been working as a Professor of Physics since 1st March 2023. I work on Particle Physics (also known as High Energy Physics due to involvement of enormous amount of energy), Phenomenology and Astrophysics. It involves the study of matter at extreme high temperature and density. Basically I aim to design model/theory and employ the same to analyze the experimental/observational data coming from various heavy-ion collision experiments mostly located abroad such as Relativistic Heavy-ion Collider (RHIC), BNL, USA and Large Hadron Collider (LHC), CERN, Switzerland and Astrophysical events.
I have published several research articles in the refereed International/National Journals of high repute. I have also presented research papers in the various International/National Conferences and published research works in the Conference Proceedings. My research interests mainly include properties and signals of Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP), Physics@Heavy-ion collision experiments, QCD Phenomenology, Particle Physics beyond Standard Model & Astrophysics.

My Hobbies & Advice

I like to read mostly Scientific/Technology related books/articles, hearing Music, travelling, playing Badminton, exploring World’s best places! and enjoying Nature. I always try to do my best in order to make this World a beautiful place for living for our coming generations. I believe in hardworking, deep thinking, critical thinking, thinking very big and thinking beyond boundaries! I would like to meet/inspire/motivate an honest, hardworking, enthusiastic, eager to learn new and willing to change so that we could attempt to make a positive change in our Society. I would advice my best friends and others to read, read, read! and keep on learning new things. Reading and continuous learning make you a balanced person and help a lot in taking better/tough decision during difficult time of your life. Always remember: Change is the law of Nature! Do not be rigid minded! Try to choose the best out of the World! as far as possible!
