Achievements/Awards Conferred

 

  • Expert member in the Committee for University Innovation Cluster (UIC) constituted by Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC), DBT, Govt. of India to Screen new proposals and to review ongoing supported projects for a period of three years from 2016. 
  • Participated as an expert member in the one day workshop on "Strengthening Publicly Funded Incubators" organized by Centre for Policy Research, IIT Delhi, on 04 December 2016 at IIT Delhi.
  • Conferred with Entrepreneurship Educator and Mentor Special Jury Award for promotion of Entrepreneurship Education in the Entrepreneurship Education Conclave organized by National Entrepreneurship Network in collaboration with Ministry of Skill and Entrepreneurship Development, British Council and Intel on 12th March 2015 in New Delhi. 
  • Awarded Management Teachers Consortium (MTC) Global award for Excellence in contributing to Management education – 2012 on 1st September 2012. 
  • Honoured with Distinguished Faculty Award in recognition and appreciation of dedication, interest, enthusiasm and attitude in accomplishing assigned mission of teaching by BITSAA International in the BITSAA Global Meet on 9th January 2011. 
  • Successfully completed five different modules leading to completion of Entrepreneurship Educators Course (EEC) awarded by STVP, Stanford University, IIM Bangalore and National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) and became one amongst the first 20 certified Entrepreneurship Educators in India.
  • Awarded Goldman Sach 10000 Women awards certification Honours for participating in the mentor development program from 31st October to November 3rd 2009 in Bangalore organised by London Business School and National Entrepreneurship Network. 
  • Contributed to the strategic moves for promotion of entrepreneurship development programmes for students and faculty members on campuses across country as Faculty Advisor in the NEN Faculty Advisory Board for the past 10 years.
  • Participated as member of the Expert Group Consultation on Developing a Manual on Youth Enterprise Development 16-18th March, 2011 at New Delhi organized by Commonwealth Youth Programme Asia Centre, Chandigarh in association with Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
  • Participated in a meeting organized by DFID in association with Technology Development Board, DST on a new programme  - Innovative Ventures and Technologies for Development (INVENT) , aiming to establish and strengthen specialized incubators to support innovative entrepreneurs having a focus ion inclusive growth on 30th August 2013 at New Delhi. 
  • Expert Member of a panel of experts for screening business plans short listed by Rajasthan Financial Corporation under their newly launched scheme – Yuva Udyamita Protsahan Yojana on 17th September 2013 in Jaipur.  
  • Successfully completed curricular development “Workshop on Technology Entrepreneurship Education – Theory and Practice “organised by Lester Center for Entrepreneurship, Berkeley, Indo US Science & Technology Forum, DST, Govt. of India and Intel between 12 & 13th December 2007 in Bangalore. 
  • Participated as a jury member in the India Innovation Initiative – i3 Regional Fair 2011 organised by DST, Govt. of India, Agilent Technologies and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) on 4th November 2011 in New Delhi. 
  • Member International Input Output Association and has subscribed to their Journal.  Life member of Indian Society for Training & Development. 
  • Participated in expert discussions on “Unlocking Value for Start-up Incubation through Corporate Engagement” organized by Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) in association with NEN on 27th January 2014 at IIT Delhi.

  • Two days Workshop on Entrepreneurship Awareness for Faculty Members of Northern Region wherein around 35 Faculty Members participated.
  • Entrepreneurship Culture – Issues and Challenges for Small & Medium Enterprises , 2-4th Sept. 2004
  • XIII All India Input-Output Research Association (IORA), India, Conference,  22 – 24, April 2005
  • Workshop on Technology Entrepreneurship for Faculty Members 23-24th Nov. 2007, Funded by Indo US Science & Technology Forum.
  • Workshop on Promotion of Entrepreneurship Through Incubation, 30th March 2008, Funded by TBI, DST Grant.
  • One Day Workshop on “Creating Future: Be a Leader” in an era of Innovation was organized on 24th March 2008 for the benefit of students, in which around 90 students participated.
  • Workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Management was organized on 25th April 2010. The workshop was sponsored by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and University Grant Commission, Government of India. 70 participants took advantage of the workshop. 
  • Workshop on “Issues in Patenting “ - was organized on 9th September 2010 by Dr Mohan Dewan, Patents and Trade Marks Attorney of Dewan& Co. Around 55 faculty members took advantage of it. 
  • Organized a one day workshop on Intellectual Property Management on 17th September 2011 at K K Birla Goa campus, BITS, Pilani. Workshop was sponsored by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India. 
  • Organisedseven National Convention on Energizing Entrepreneurship in Academia through Innovation for promotion of technology entrepreneurship between 2006 and 2012. The primary objective of the convention is to raise responsiveness about innovation, venture capital and to offer possibilities for new business networking by bringing interested groups working for promotion of entrepreneurship at a common platform. 
  • Organised and delivered presidential address in seven Conferences/Summits organized in the area of Marketing, IT , Finance and Operations between November 2014 and December 2016 at Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi.
