Prof. Shibani Khanra Jha stands as a fine Academic Resource Person for Teaching, Research, Administration, Leadership, Counselling, Mentoring, Supervising, Training, Organizing, and Developing the most valuable asset of the planet, i.e., Human resources.
Prof. Shibani's teaching and research interests are contaminant transport, Geothermal reservoir, Fluid Mechanics, Hydromechanics, water Resources Engineering, Multiphase Flow in subsurface, and Numerical Modelling, Environmental System modelling. Her publications are in the journals of repute, and research publications have been recognized, referred to, and reported by India Science Wire (Government of India, DST, Initiative for high-impact research areas), TECH EXPLORIST, and Geothermal Resources Council (Global Geothermal News). Her research works are published in international/national journals/conference proceedings, book chapters, and technical reports. Under her Supervision/Co-Supervision, 3 PhDs are awarded; she is currently supervising/co-supervising 3 more PhDs (2 supervising at BITS-2 and 1 co-supervising with PhD thesis registered at IIT Gandhinagar), supervised 8 PG/UG thesis; 38 UG projects. She contributed as a technical reviewer for several reputable journals. She delivered invited lectures/keynotes on technical, societal issues, teaching learning issues, motivational talks; She mentored and counselled many students as a member of the academic counselling cell at BITS Pilani. She taught courses- Transport Phenomena/ Fluid Mechanics, Numerical Analysis, Hydraulic Engineering, Fluid Dynamics, Hydrology and Water Resource Engineering/Engineering Hydrology, Soil Mechanics, Study Oriented Projects, Laboratory Oriented Projects, Design Oriented Projects, Studies in Advanced Topics. She took charge of institute and department level responsibilities for Teaching Learning Center, Internal Complaint Committee (ICC), Departmental committees on Academics (DCA), Academic Counselling Cell (ACC), Student Faculty Council (SFC), Library Advisory Committee, Departmental Research Committee (DRC), and Doctoral Advisory Committee (DAC), Officer in charge for Hydraulic and Fluid Mechanics Laboratory. As Faculty-In-Charge of Teaching Learning Centre, she has developed, organized, and conducted many FDPs/Trainings/Workshops/National-International Conferences and contributed grossly towards various outreach programmes.
