 Dr. Chennu Ranganayakulu, Formerly Scientist H/Outstanding Scientist, Technology Director (General Systems) & Director (Materials Management), Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA), Bangalore has spearheaded with a team of scientists and Engineers toward the design and development of an Environmental Control System (ECS), different types of Compact Heat Exchangers (CHEs) and Valves for Tejas Aircraft through 33 years of during his service in HAL and ADA. As part of these activities, he has established a world-class ECS test rig and Qualification Test Facility at GTRE and Heat Exchangers test facilities at NAL, Bangalore, and BHEL, Vizag. He established Compact Heat Exchanger development in India for the first time, which resulted in the spin-off of CHEs for various Aircraft programs. 

          Dr. Ranganayakulu graduated from Andhra University, M.E from Bharathiar University, a Ph.D. from IIT (Madras), Chennai, a Fellow of the National Academy of Engineers and Alexander von Humboldt fellow from Germany. He was a re-visiting researcher at Helmut Schmidt University, Hamburg and presently a re-visiting Scholar at Leibniz University, Hannover, Germany, and a Visiting Researcher at UNISA, Johannesburg, South Africa. He published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in International/National journals/conferences, which logged over 1000 citations. He is a reviewer for various Research Journals. Guided 6 Ph.D. projects and he is supervising 8 more Ph.D topics in BITS and other institutions. He is the Chairperson and member of various committees at ADE, DARE, NAL, HAL, ADA - Bangalore and NIOT-Chennai.
