Dr. Bharat Richhariya is Assistant Professor in the department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus). Prior to this, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore. He completed his PhD in the field of machine learning from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore. Prior to that, he completed his BTech and MTech in Computer Science and Engineering.
 
He has published 18 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences. He has publications in 15 international (SCI indexed) journals of machine learning such as Pattern Recognition, Neural Networks, and Information Sciences, and over 1000 citations of his works with an h-index of 13. He is the reviewer of several international SCI indexed journals including Scientific Reports (Nature), IEEE TNNLS; IEEE TSMC: Systems; IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics; Pattern Recognition; Applied Soft Computing etc.
 
His research interests include support vector machine, neurological disorders, universum learning and deep neural networks. He is interested in interdisciplinary research involving machine learning, neuroscience, and biomedical signal processing for automated diagnosis of brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson's disease and epilepsy.
