Ph.D. Programme
The Department of Civil Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai campus offers the most advanced degree: the Ph.D. program. Our Ph.D. program is fundamentally driven by independent research, closely supervised by our experienced faculty. This research can be conducted using our cutting-edge in-house facilities or via collaborative channels. The choice of the research topic remains flexible, depending on the candidate's interests, its pertinence to the chosen discipline, the potential for innovation, and practical viability considering the available resources and time constraints.
Our Ph.D. candidates are expected to conduct top-tier research, present their findings at both national and international conferences, publish their work in renowned peer-reviewed journals, and cultivate the networking skills necessary for collaborative research development. Before graduation, a minimum of two publications in International repute are required, culminating in a final Ph.D. dissertation seminar evaluated by an external examiner.
Comprehensive profiles of all our faculty members, along with their specific research interests, can be found in the department faculty section. Also, check out the department research brochure
