Pawan Sharma is an Assistant Professor with Work Integrated Learning Programmes, BITS Pilani. Pawan joined Pilani campus in 2001 and has over two decades of academic experience with BITS Pilani. He led the project of establishing state of the art VLSI design facilities at Pilani campus. He taught courses in the areas of VLSI design, microelectronics, analog and digital electronics, system specifications and modeling and microprocessor design. He participated in organizing national and international conferences organized by EEE department at Pilani campus. He has 6 years of industrial experience handling automation tasks involving DCS, Siemens PLC, HVAC control in manufacturing sector. Pawan shifted from on-campus to off campus programme of the Institute in 2014. He played a key role in establishing remote and virtual laboratories for students enrolled in various WILP programmes. He teaches courses in the areas of VLSI Architecture, Reconfigurable computing, computer architectures and system specifications, modeling and co-design. He also leads the PS-1 and PS-2 activities of EEE group of WILP. Pawan did his BTech from Nagpur University and MTech from BITS Pilani in 1995 and 2005 respectively. He also did PG Diploma in VLSI Design from CDAC Nagpur, 2001.
