Dr. Swati Routh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus (primary affiliation) and Goa Campus (secondary affiliation). She has over 20 years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience across prestigious institutions in India, USA, and UAE. She received her PhD in Solar Astrophysics and MS (GPA: 4.0/4.0)in Physics from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA, and presently works in Wave Physics, Solar Astrophysics, and Astrochemistry. Author of 30+ high-impact international publications and 9 applied patents. Recipient of  multiple international and national awards , for example,the Scharff Award for Excellence in Research (UTA, 2009), VGST Young Scientist Award (Karnataka Government, 2014), and University Scholar Award by the President of UTA (2008) etc. She has held postdoctoral fellowships at JILA, University of Colorado at Boulder (2010–2011) and the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore (2011–2012).

Dr. Swati Routh is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus (primary affiliation) and Goa Campus (secondary affiliation). She has over 20 years of teaching experience and 10 years of research experience across prestigious institutions in India, USA, and UAE.

She received her PhD (GPA: 4.0/4.0) and MS (GPA: 4.0/4.0) from the University of Texas at Arlington, USA, specialising in Wave Physics, Solar Astrophysics, and Astrochemistry. She also holds an MSc in Physics from the University of Calcutta (1st class).

Her research interests span Solar Physics (Solar Atmosphere), Atmospheric Physics, Astrophysics, Astrostatistics, Wave Dynamics, Bio-physics, Molecular Chemistry, and Education Research. She has authored over 30 high-impact international publications in reputed journals including The Astrophysical Journal (IF: 6.73), Solar Physics (IF: 3.39), Astrophysics and Space Sciences, and others.

She holds 9 applied patents in areas including wave physics in drone navigation, underwater communication, GPS and Wi-Fi signal improvement, shock absorption by smart material body-armour, fintech market stability analysis, and a Cutoff-Frequency-Informed RF Wearable Sensor for Multi-Parameter Physiological Monitoring.

Dr. Routh has held postdoctoral fellowships at JILA, University of Colorado at Boulder, USA (2010–2011) and a Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA), Bangalore (2011–2012). She previously served as an Assistant Professor at Jain University, Bangalore and R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore, and as a Physics/Science/Maths teacher at the Ministry of Education, UAE (2019–2023).

She is the recipient of several prestigious honours including the Scharff Award for Excellence in Research (UTA, 2009), University Scholar Award by the President of UTA (2008), VGST Young Scientist Award (Karnataka Government, 2014), Faculty Achievement Awards at Jain University (2015, 2018), and Visiting Associate awarded by IUCAA and UGC (2015).
