I am a researcher and educator working at the intersection of computer vision, generative AI, and AI for social good. My work focuses on building trustworthy, privacy-preserving, and inclusive AI systems that can create real-world impact.

I hold a PhD in Computer Science from IIT (BHU) Varanasi, followed by over three years of postdoctoral research at IIT Jodhpur, where I worked on cutting-edge problems in face recognition, multimodal learning, and responsible AI.

Over the years, I have led and contributed to several high-impact AI projects in collaboration with DRDO, Swiggy, and other industry and government organizations. My research on face recognition and rapid identity verification was acknowledged by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for its role in supporting identification efforts during the Balasore train accident, a significant moment towards employing AI for public good.

In 2024, I (along with my team) was honored with the NASSCOM AI Gamechangers Award, recognizing the societal and technological impact of my work in generative AI.

I currently serve as an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus, where I design and teach courses on Generative AI, Database Systems, and Computer Programming. I mentor students on research problems spanning synthetic data generation, bias and fairness, AI in healthcare, and privacy-preserving unlearning, and actively collaborate with healthcare and industry partners in the UAE.
