Assistant Professor, Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering
Brief Biography
Ananth Bharadwaj (Member, IEEE) received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, Rupnagar, India. He is currently serving as a full-time Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus.
He leads the Advanced Wireless Power Research Laboratory, which focuses on the development of near-field resonant wireless charging solutions for diverse applications, including biomedical implants, electric drones, portable electronics, and electric vehicles.
The lab is equipped with state-of-the-art instruments, including a four-channel Vector Network Analyzer for characterizing coil behavior across a broad frequency range, an Intelligent Bipolar Power Supply capable of delivering up to 400 W across DC to 100 kHz for powering transmitter coils, and a MITS PCB prototyping machine for custom circuit board fabrication. For signal and power measurement, the lab utilizes a high-performance Digital Storage Oscilloscope paired with precision current and voltage probes.
His research contributions have been published in several reputed international journals, including IEEE Transactions, reflecting a strong focus on innovation and application-driven wireless power technologies.
