Amitesh is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, INDIA. His research interest includes privacy-preservation and multimedia computation, with current focus mainly on secure image color enhancement, night-time haze removal, local color correction for efficient Video-Surveillance-as-a-Service (VSaaS), and application of deep learning for human action recognition. 
He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India in 2020. His Ph.D. thesis title is "Privacy-Preserving Approach for Cloud based Multimedia Computing", and the work was accomplished under the guidance of Dr. Balasubramanian Raman, Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee.
Amitesh’s research has been published in several reputed top-tier international conferences, including ICME, IEEE CLOUD, SMC and SAC. He is the recipient of Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship, provided by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. He has also been awarded with several research grants including MeitY Travel Grant and Microsoft Research Grant. Apart from research, Amitesh has qualified the EMC Academic Associate certification in Cloud Infrastructure and Services in 2014.
