Welcome to Conference on Frontiers in Combinatorics - Topology, Algebra, and Data-Driven Insights (FroCo-2026)

ABOUT CONFERENCE

The Frontiers of Combinatorics: Topology, Algebra and Data‑Driven Insights conference aims to bring together researchers working in diverse areas of combinatorics—including topological combinatorics, graph theory, enumerative combinatorics, and combinatorial commutative algebra—along with emerging applications in artificial intelligence and machine learning. The meeting will provide a platform for presenting recent advances, exchanging ideas, and fostering collaborations among mathematicians and researchers from related disciplines.

Combinatorics plays a central role in modern mathematics and forms the backbone of many developments in computer science, optimization, and data science. By highlighting both foundational theory and contemporary applications, the conference seeks to promote active research interactions, encourage young scholars, and strengthen the growing combinatorics community.

Keynote Speakers
We are honoured to host distinguished keynote speakers who are leaders in each of these fields. Their talks will showcase cutting‑edge results, ranging from new topological invariants and algebraic structures to innovative graph‑theoretic algorithms that will help shape the next generation of AI and ML. Attendees will gain insight into the most current directions and open problems at the interface of combinatorics, topology, algebra, and data science.

Contributed Talks
We warmly welcome contributed talks from all participants. We invite you to share your work and engage in lively discussion with peers.

ABOUT BITS PILANI

The Birla Institute of Technology & Science, (BITS) Pilani is an Indian Institute for higher education. Started in early 1900s as a small school, it blossomed into a set of colleges for higher education, ranging from Humanities to Engineering until 1964, when all these colleges amalgamated to culminate into a unique Indian University of international standard. This university was rechristened as the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, known to many as BITS, Pilani. Over the years, BITS Pilani has provided the highest quality of technical education to students from all over India, admitted on the basis of merit. It is located in the Vidya Vihar campus adjacent to the town of Pilani in Rajasthan. In 2000, BITS Pilani opened a campus in Dubai making it the first Indian university with an overseas campus. Subsequently, in the year 2004 and 2008 BITS Pilani opened its campuses in Goa and Hyderabad respectively. In 2021, the institute opened its latest campus in Mumbai with BITS School of Management (BITSoM). Subsequently in 2023 BITS Law School and in 2024 BITS Design School was started in its Mumbai campus.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, is widely recognized for its excellence in education, research, and entrepreneurship. In acknowledgment of its strong academic ecosystem and robust research infrastructure, the Ministry of Education, Government of India, conferred upon BITS Pilani the prestigious “Institution of Eminence” status in 2018.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS

The Department of Mathematics was established in 1944 as part of Birla Science College, which was later incorporated into Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani in 1964. Since its inception, the department has been dedicated to excellence in teaching and research across a broad spectrum of mathematical sciences.

The department offers educational and research opportunities in diverse areas including Algebra, Analysis, Differential Equations, Discrete Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, and Mathematical Modelling. It conducts several core mathematics courses for students in the integrated first degree programs (B.E. in Mathematics and Computing and M.Sc.) at the Pilani campus. It also offers specialised courses for students enrolled in the M.Sc. and Ph.D. programs in Mathematics.

The department further plays a vital role in the Institute’s Work Integrated Learning Programs (WILP), designed for working professionals across various industries. Supported by a highly motivated faculty with diverse expertise in mathematical sciences, it provides strong opportunities for research in core mathematics as well as interdisciplinary areas in science, engineering, and technology. Committed to academic excellence and innovation, the department strives to prepare students to become future leaders in engineering, science, and research. Committed to academic excellence and innovation, the department also supports the Institute’s strong academic standing, reflected in its QS World University Rankings position in the 250–300 band globally.
