🎓 Student Travel Grant

Purpose

The Student Travel Grant aims to encourage student participation, improve research exposure, and enable deserving students to present their work in-person at FIFTH IEEE DELCON 2026 (November 19–21, 2026, BITS Pilani, Pilani Campus, Rajasthan, India).

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must satisfy all of the following
  • Must be a full-time student (UG/PG/PhD) at the time of application.
  • Must be an author/co-author of an accepted paper at DELCON 2026.
  • Must register for the conference under the Student category (as applicable.)
  • Must commit to presenting the paper in person.
  • IEEE membership is preferred (if applicable).

Coverage

Student Travel Grants are intended to partially support

  • Travel (rail/bus/economy airfare as applicable).
  • Local transport
  • Accommodation (shared basis).
  • Registration support (partial/complete) — subject to grant category and availability

Note: The exact amount and mode of support may vary depending on available funds and the number of eligible applications.

Selection Criteria

Grants will be awarded based on

  • Quality and relevance of the accepted paper
  • Student’s role and contribution (first author / presenting author preferred)
  • Financial need (self-declaration may be requested)
  • Diversity considerations (institutional/region/gender balance, where possible)
  • Recommendation from Supervisor/HoD (if provided)

The PDF should include

  • STG Application Form (1 page) containing
    • Name, program (UG/PG/PhD), institute, department
    • Contact number and email
    • Paper ID, paper title, track
    • Author list and applicant’s position in authors
    • Presenting author confirmation
  • Proof of student status (valid ID card / bonafide certificate)
  • Accepted paper notification (email/screenshot)
  • Brief CV (max 1 page)
  • Supervisor’s recommendation (optional but encouraged)

Terms and Conditions

Grants will be awarded based on

  • Travel grant is subject to availability of funds and approval by the committee
  • Grant recipients must complete conference registration and present the paper.
  • Support may be provided as reimbursement against original bills/tickets OR as direct support (as decided by the organizers).
  • Any false information may result in cancellation of the grant
  • Decisions of the Student Travel Grant Committee will be final.
