Call for Special Sessions

Call for Special Session Proposals 

IEEE DELCON 2026 invites proposals for Special Sessions under its ten technical tracks. Special Sessions are intended to provide a focused forum on emerging, interdisciplinary, and high-impact research themes aligned with the scope of DELCON 2026.

Accepted Special Sessions will be listed on the DELCON 2026 website and EDAS portal. Papers submitted to approved Special Sessions will undergo the same peer-review process as regular DELCON 2026 submissions.

Submission Through EDAS

  • Special Session proposals must be submitted through EDAS under the track:
SSP : Special Session Proposals

EDAS submission link

The SSP track is only for Special Session Proposal PDFs. Regular technical papers should not be submitted to this track. Papers for approved Special Sessions will be submitted separately through the appropriate EDAS track after the Special Session is accepted.

Proposal Format

Prospective organizers should upload a 2–3 page proposal PDF including the following details:

  • Special Session title
  • Parent DELCON track: Track 1–10
  • Scope and motivation of the proposed session
  • Names, affiliations, and email addresses of organizers
  • Short bios of organizers
  • Expected number of papers
  • Suggested reviewers
  • Publicity and outreach plan

Expected Structure of a Special Session

Each Special Session is expected to have:

  • A focused and technically relevant theme
  • 3–6 organizers
  • Preferably national and international representation.

Review and Acceptance

Special Session proposals will be reviewed by the DELCON 2026 Organizing Committee and Technical Program Committee based on:

  • Technical relevance
  • Novelty and timeliness of the topic
  • Strength and diversity of the organizing team
  • Expected submission potential
  • Alignment with DELCON 2026 tracks

Approval of a Special Session does not guarantee acceptance of papers submitted to that session. All papers submitted to approved Special Sessions will undergo peer review in accordance with DELCON 2026 review standards.

  2. Quantum Technologies and Photonic Systems
  3. Advances in Computer Engineering and Intelligent Systems
  4. VLSI, Embedded Systems, and Next-Generation Computing
  5. Signal Processing, Biomedical and Multimedia Systems
  6. Sustainable Energy, Power Electronics, and Smart Grids
  7. Cyber-Physical Systems, Security, and IoT Applications
  8. Advanced Materials and Emerging Devices
  9. Antenna Design, Metamaterials, and Microwave Engineering
  10. Robotics, Control, and Mechatronics Systems
