Dr. Rajput is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Information Systems at Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, Pilani Campus, India. His research interest includes Federated Learning, Secure Data Computing with current focus on developing Private Machine Learning Models for Multimedia Enhancement, Video-Surveillance-as-a-Service (VSaaS), Deep Learning for Video Analytics, and Medical Data Security.

He received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science & Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India in 2020. His Ph.D. thesis title is "Privacy-Preserving Approach for Cloud based Multimedia Computing", and the work was accomplished under the guidance of Dr. Balasubramanian Raman, Professor in the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee. His research is published in various reputed scientific platforms including ACM TOMM, IEEE TOII, ESWA Elsevier, IEEE ICME, IEEE CLOUD, IEEE SMC and ACM SAC.

Dr. Rajput is the organizing member of the First International Workshop on Multimedia Computing for Automated Urban Intelligent Systems (MCAUIS 2022), a virtual event in conjunction with IEEE MIPR 2022, August 2 - 4, 2022. He is also one of the founding instructors of BITS Pilani Postman Classroom Program, introduced as part of the Postman API and Coding Innovation Lab at Incubation and Innovation Center at Pilani Campus. Dr. Rajput is the recipient of Visvesvaraya Ph.D. Fellowship from Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. He has also been awarded with the Outstanding Reviewer Award 2021 from IEEE Transactions on Multimedia Journal. Apart from this, he has received various other grants including MeitY Travel Grant and Microsoft Research Grant. Apart from research, he has qualified the EMC Academic Associate certification in Cloud Infrastructure and Services in 2014.
