LAMBDA, Department of EEE, BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus jointly with the Vacuum Electronic Devices & Applications Society (VEDA-S), Bangalore, is organizing the 21st National Conference on Emerging Trends in Vacuum Electronic Devices & Applications (VEDA-2026), during December 20–22, 2026. The conference aims to provide a networking platform for researchers and professionals from R&D, academia, industry, and students to share their work & experience in the broad area of vacuum electronic devices and applications.
The conference will cover a comprehensive tutorial on design and development aspects of vacuum electronic devices and systems. The subsequent two days will feature plenary sessions, invited talks by renowned experts, and presentations of contributed papers, addressing a wide range of topics in vacuum electronic devices and their applications.
Researchers are invited to submit abstracts of work on the following subjects in vacuum electronic devices and applications.
Stage 1 – Initial Submission
Authors are required to submit a 2-page Extended Abstract through the Microsoft CMT portal. The manuscript should be prepared in the IEEE two-column conference format IEEE Templates Page.
All submissions will undergo peer review by the Technical Programme Committee.
Stage 2 – Final Submission
Authors of accepted papers shall submit a 2-page Final Extended Abstract, incorporating the reviewers' comments, through the Microsoft CMT submission portal.
All authors must have a Microsoft CMT account before submitting their manuscript. If you already have a CMT account, you may use the same account to submit your paper. Do not create a new account if you already have one.
Authors who do not have a CMT account may create one free of charge by following the official Microsoft CMT account creation guide:
After creating and verifying your account, you may submit your manuscript through the VEDA 2026 Microsoft CMT Submission Portal:
At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present the paper in person. Online presentations will not be permitted.
The final extended abstracts of accepted and presented papers will be included in the conference proceedings.
Authors of selected presented papers would be invited to submit a full-length manuscript for consideration in a Special Issue of SADHANA – Academy Proceedings in Engineering Sciences (SCIE and Scopus Indexed) which will follow a standard peer-review process in accordance with the journal's editorial policy.
*Please note that one registered author can present a maximum of two papers.
VEDA 2026 will feature a dedicated Research Scholars Forum, providing PhD scholars an opportunity to present their ongoing research through posters and interact with experts from academia, industry, and research laboratories.
Scholars currently pursuing their PhD, or those who have defended their PhD thesis during year 2026, are eligible to participate. Participants should submit their extended abstract (in the template used for Call for Papers above) through the Microsoft CMT submission portal under the subject area "Research Scholars Forum" and are required to prepare and bring their poster for presentation at the conference.
Honoring a distinguished individual for their lifelong contributions, visionary leadership, and extraordinary impact in the field of vacuum electronics.
Recognizing exceptional researchers and professionals who have demonstrated significant innovation, sustained excellence, and leadership in their mid-career stage.
Celebrating outstanding early-career scientists for their promising research, technical brilliance, and potential to shape the future of the industry.
Industry partners are invited to participate in the event to showcase their products and innovations in vacuum electronic devices, RF, and microwave technologies.
