Who is your Mitr?

Mitr is a faculty member who is voluntarily opted to be

• A listener to you
• A companion to you
• A guide to you
• An advisor to you

How do I know who is my Mitr?

• Every hostel notice board will show the details of the Mitr faculties
• Mitr faculties will be regularly doing an announced visits where you may go to them and directly talk about your problems.
• Mitr will also make casual unannounced visits to check your living conditions at hostel. You may meet your Mitr in the corridors or they may sometimes come for a friendly conversation at your doorsteps.

Is it an administrative person?

Mitr faculty members do not generally hold any administrative positions. They serve as neutral, approachable mentors who maintain confidentiality, except in situations where the student’s safety may be at risk.''
