About the Symposium

The National Symposium on Convergence of Chemistry and Materials (CCM) explores science at the interface of Chemistry and Materials Science. It encompasses several aspects of the convergence between Chemistry and Materials. This symposium, an effort by the Department of Chemistry, BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus, is conceived to bring together scientists, researchers, and industrial partners working at the interface of Materials and Chemistry on a single platform, with an eye toward meaningful interactions and the exchange of ideas. CCM-2026 is the fourth edition of CCM and aims to bring eminent scientists from diverse areas of Chemistry and Materials Research.

 

About the Campus

Birla Institute of Technology & Science, (BITS Pilani) is an Institution declared as Deemed to be University under Sec. 3 of the UGC Act in 1964 and is a renowned science and technology institute. It is located in Pilani, Rajasthan, India. In addition to Pilani, BITS Pilani has campuses in Dubai, Goa, and Hyderabad.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani - Hyderabad campus is a premier, fully residential, technical and Research Institute in India. Established in the year 2008 by BITS-Pilani, Rajasthan, the first batch graduated in 2012. BPHC offers top-tier Engineering, Science and Pharmacy Programs.

The sprawling campus is built amidst lush greenery spreading over 200 acres of land at Jawahar Nagar, Shameerpet, Hyderabad. Surrounded by natural beauty, the campus is about 70 km away from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad and about 27 km from the Secunderabad railway station. The campus is easily accessible by road, with a bus stop just outside the campus. Public transport (route# 212) runs every one hour from Secunderabad to the campus. The campus is in close proximity to many schools, medical facilities, and recreational centers.

The campus is built with state-of-the-art infrastructure without affecting the scenic beauty of the area. Modern laboratories, well-furnished classrooms, lecture theatre complexes, student activity center, auditorium, playground and modern ICT infrastructure, all come together to make BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus a well-equipped campus.

Where is the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus?
The BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus is located in Jawaharnagar, Shameerpet Mandal on Karimnagar Highway, Hyderabad, Rangareddy District, Telangana State. It is approximately 25 kilometres from Secunderabad railway station, about 33 kilometers from Hyderabad railway station (Nampally)/ Imliban (Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station-MGBS) bus-station and about 70 km from Rajiv Gandhi international airport, Shamshabad.
How do you reach the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus?

1. From Hyderabad Airport
Option 1: Taxi (Recommended)
• Ola/Uber - Approximate fare: ₹1700 - ₹2000

Option 2: Bus
• Take a bus to JBS (Jubilee Bus Station-Secunderabad).
• Follow directions from Secunderabad Station / JBS below.

2. From Secunderabad Station / JBS
Option 1: Direct bus to BITS (Outside Platform 1)
• Bus number: 212 (Destination: BITS)
• Timings: Around 7:50 AM, 8:50 AM, 3:50 PM, 4:50 PM

Option 2: Indirect bus + auto
• Board any bus going to Karimnagar or Siddipet.
• Get down at Dongala Mysamma Junction (near Thumkunta Village).
• Take an auto to BITS (about 4 km).

Option 3: Taxi
• Ola/Uber - Approximate fare: ₹600 - ₹800

3. From Any Other Location in Hyderabad
• Take an MMTS train or bus to Secunderabad Station / JBS, then follow the directions above.
• No direct buses from other locations.
