About BITS-FACTT
BITS Foundation for Advisory, Consultancy & Technology Transfers (BITS-FACTT) is the dedicated technology transfer and commercialization arm of BITS Pilani, established as a Section 8 not-for-profit company to accelerate the translation of research into real-world impact.
BITS-FACTT serves as the bridge between academia and industry by facilitating intellectual property (IP) management, technology licensing, industry partnerships, consultancy, startup support, and innovation-driven collaborations.
The Foundation works closely with researchers, innovators, industry, government agencies, investors, and entrepreneurs to transform cutting-edge research into commercially viable products, processes, and services.
With a focus on creating sustainable societal and economic impact, BITS-FACTT supports the complete innovation lifecycle—from IP protection and technology evaluation to commercialization, licensing, startup creation, and strategic partnerships. It also enables collaborative research, technology validation, and capacity building through advisory services, training programs, and industry engagement.
BITS-FACTT aims to strengthen the innovation ecosystem at BITS Pilani while contributing to national priorities in technology development, entrepreneurship, and knowledge-driven economic growth.
