What are the Programs offered under the off-campus work-integrated learning scheme?

  • What is eligibility for taking up these Programs?

    Programe Name
    B.S. Engineering Technology Employed persons with minimum two years relevant experience and a technical diploma or an undergraduate degree like B.Sc. etc. involved in engineering professions.
    B.S. Information Systems Employed persons with minimum two years relevant experience and a technical diploma or an undergraduate degree like B.Sc. etc. involved in Computer Software/ Hardware.
    M.S. Manufacturing Management Employed persons with minimum one year relevant experience in Engineering Industries with Integrated First Degree of BITS like B.E.(Hons.), B.S. Engineering Technology or equivalent.
    M.S. Software Systems Employed persons with minimum one year relevant experience in software development or allied areas with integrated First Degree of BITS like B.E.(Hons.), M.Sc.(Hons.), B.S. Information Systems

  • What is the basis for admission to the Off-Campus work-integrated learning Programs?

    Several conditions need to be fulfilled. Some of these conditions are:

    • You must be employed in an organization that is suitable for the pursuit of the degree program
    • You must possess the minimum required educational qualifications for the degree program
    • For admission to certain programs (like BS Information Systems), there would be an additional cut-off percentage based on marks obtained in the Technical Diploma / B.Sc., etc. The Admissions Committee fixes this at the time of admission.
    • You must get educational sponsorship from your employing organization
    • You must propose a suitable mentor from your organization to guide you in your studies
    • And a few more conditions mentioned in detail in the application form itself

  • When does the notification / Advertisement for the admissions to the Off-Campus work-integrated learning Programs come up?

    Normally, the Advertisement for admissions will come up in several English language dailies and on the Web in the month of April / May (for First Semester) and in the month of September / October (for Second Semester).

Applications are invited from employed professionals for the following Work Integrated Learning Programmes.
  
Deadline for submission of duly completed application form (alongwith the requisite processing fees of Rs. 1,500/- (Non Refundable) to be paid as per procedure specified in the form) to the Dean, WILPD, BITS, Pilani - 333031 is October 31, 2012.
