PhD Application
Eligibility:
Any Higher Degree of BITS or its equivalent with a minimum of 55% aggregate in the qualifying examination. Applicants with a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification in an eligible discipline with a good academic record are eligible to apply. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/interview for selections. Selected candidates will be given financial assistance in the form of either a fellowship of any government agency or of the Institute, project or teaching assistantship, full/partial tuition waiver or a combination of these. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and any other developmental activities of the Institute under the guidance of a mentor.
Assistantship/Scholarship:
Applicants for admission to the Ph.D. programme may also be considered for Project/Research Assistantships to the tune of Rs. 10,000/- to Rs. 14000/- pm or more in addition to tuition fee waiver of upto 80%. Such selected candidates will be required to participate in teaching and other developmental programme of the institute under the guidance of a mentor.
