Bachelor's and Master's in Chemistry, Calcutta University. Ph.D in Biophysics from Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics, Calcutta. Postdoctoral experiences from Cornell Med School and Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, USA and Bioinformatics Institute, A-STAR, Singapore.
Objective in career is twofold, advancement in computational structural biology research and training future scientists to develop scientific cult and excellence. Research interest in understanding the modulating effects of molecular structures on biomolecular functions in normal and diseased systems, to solve structures of discrete biological macromolecules and their assembly, to elucidate reaction mechanism of different biochemical processes. Wide range of computational tools applied and developed to solve research problems - from Bioinformatics to Molecular Modeling, Molecular Dynamics simulation to Quantum Chemistry.
