BITS-Pilani Hyderabad Campus invites students, researchers, and delegates from academia and industry to participate in the two-day International Conference on Novel Materials and Technologies for Energy and Environment Applications (NMTE2A-2026). The NMTE2A-2026 aims to bring together Material scientists,researchers, and students to engage in fruitful discussions on their latest research ideas and progress. This conference will cover fundamental aspects and technologies developed to target the open questions in energy and environment applications. The conference will have oral and poster presentations from delegates from academia, R&D organizations, and Industries.

About Chemical Engineering Department
Department of Chemical Engineering at BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad campus is determined to develop new talents, leaders, researchers and entrepreneurs who can bring high-level value addition to the chemical and allied industries. Our mission is to drive excellence in Chemical Engineering education and training thereby lead to the creation of a common platform for connecting academia and industry in the exchange of knowledge.
The department offers robust programs in three tiers of Chemical Engineering i.e., Bachelors (B.E Honors), Masters (M.E) and Ph.D. We train our students in thrust areas of research to resolve global issues as part of the curriculum. We have well-equipped state of the art laboratories for students to gain extensive practical knowledge. The department received > ₹ 8 Cr external grants from the funding agencies such as DST, CSIR, SERB, DBT, DRDO & HBL. Further the department received DST-FIST level-1 and a member of DST-PURSE projects worth of ₹ 1.35 and ₹ 23.4 Cr, respectively. The department has been ranked 301-350 globally according to QS World University Rankings 2024.

PUBLICATIONS
Selected contributions will be considered for publication in reputed journals, including Particle & Particle Systems Characterization and the Journal of Solid State Electrochemistry. We are also in active discussions with Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy for additional publication opportunities. Furthermore, selected papers will be published by Springer as a proceedings book volume.

"Hands-on Workshop on Analysis of Chemical Engineering Processes using ANSYS Chemkin Pro" 6th February, 2026
Workshop Agenda: Topics include fuels and hydrogen combustion (autoignition, flame analysis, emissions, and soot formation), multiphase processes in urea decomposition, reactor network analysis for coal gasification, and advanced material processes such as chemical vapour deposition. Where is the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus?
The BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus is located in Jawaharnagar, Shameerpet Mandal on Karimnagar Highway, Hyderabad, Rangareddy District, Telangana State. It is approximately 25 kilometres from Secunderabad railway station, about 33 kilometers from Hyderabad railway station (Nampally)/ Imliban (Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station-MGBS) bus-station and about 70 km from Rajiv Gandhi international airport, Shamshabad.
How do you reach the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus?
From the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (Shamshabad)
There are regular bus services and cabs from the airport to Secunderabad Railway Station (see www.aeroexpress.com for details about the bus service). From the railway station one can take a bus for the campus.
From the Railway Station
From Secunderabad railway station to BITS-Pilani, Hyderabad Campus one has to travel 22 KM on Rajiv Rahadari/ Karim Nagar Highway, up to Dongala Mysamma junction after Alankruta Resorts in Thumkunta Village and take a right turn towards Ghatkesar. After travelling 1.5 KMs on this road, there is again a diversion to the right leading to the Campus. BITS? sign boards indicating the directions are available on the way.
There is a direct Bus No. 212 from Secunderabad Railway station (Gurudwara Point) to BITS-Pilani Hyderabad Campus Main Gate Besides there are City Buses having numbers 211S, 211A, 211C, 211D, 211E, 211J, 211K, 211T, 211U, 567, 568, 569 fly from Secunderabad Railway Station to various destinations to the Campus side. Further, there are many APSRTC buses from Secunderabad, Jubilee bus-stand to KarimNagar, Siddhipet,Ramagundam,Gajwel, Cheriyal etc. People can board any of these buses, get down either at Thumkunta or Dongala Mysamma junction which is 1KM away and take an auto to the campus.
Where can I stay near BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus?
Limited shared accommodation will be available on-campus, in institute hostels for students on a first-come first-serve basis and will be charged 550/- per day.
