Overview

The centre for excellence in water resources management (CEWRM) was initiated with the vision of become centre for innovation in sustainable research, education and training in water resources management and allied fields.
 
It was established as an initiative of the BITS Pilani, Hyderabad campus in 2010 as national regional/ international centre to provide innovation in sustainable research, education and training in water resources management and allied fields.
 
Some of the Milestones of CEWRM are :  
  • Workshop on Recent Advances in Climatic Modeling for Water Resources Planning and Management, November 19, 2011.
  • National Conference on Sustainable Water Resources Planning, Management and Impact of Climate Change, April 5-6, 2013.
  • World Water Day, March 22, 2014.

Achievements

K Srinivasa Raju was given Best Research Paper Award for the Paper Entitled Application of Multiple Linear Regression as Downscaling Methodology for Lower Godavari Basin on Conference Sub theme Climate Change, Drought Assessment and Mitigation (CC & DAM), International Conference on Water, Environment, Energy and Society (ICWEES-2016), Jointly Oranised by AISECT University, India and Texas A & M University, USA, March 15-18, 2016, Bhopal, India. Co-authors for the Paper are Gayam Akshara, Ajit Pratap Singh, and A.Vasan. (Certificate of Appreciation)
 
K Srinivasa Raju was awarded Collaborating Sponsored Project “Integrated Urban Flood Management in India: Technology-Driven Solutions”, Information Technology Research Academy (ITRA), Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. Collaborating Institutes: Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, C-DAC, Thiruvanathapuram National Institute of Technology, Warangal. 
 
K Srinivasa Raju was chosen as Associate Editor, ISH Journal of Hydraulic Engineering, Taylor & Francis, U.K.
 
K Srinivasa Raju was chosen as outstanding Reviewer for Journal of Hydrologic Engineering, American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), USA for the year 2014. (Outstanding Reviewer Certificate)  
 
K Srinivasa Raju was awarded S.N.Gupta Memorial Award for Research Contribution to the field of Water Resources Engineering by Indian Society for Hydraulics, India. (Certificate & Photo) 
 
K Srinivasa Raju was given best paper award for the paper entitled Optimal Integrated Water Resources Management for Khadakwasla Complex Reservoir (Session-III), i-Manager International Conference on Engineering and Technologies (IICET-2015), Trivandrum, India, April 11-12, 2015. Co-authors for the paper are D V Morankar and A. Vasan. (Certificate of Appreciation)
 
K Srinivasa Raju was appointed as member, Board of Studies in Civil Engineering for six institutions, namely, (i) VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad; (ii) Chaitanya Bharathi Institute of Technology, Hyderabad; (iii) Rajeev Gandhi Memorial College of Engineering and Technology, Nandyal; (iv) Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad; (v) Osmania University College of Engineering, Hyderabad;  (vi) Vasavi College of Engineering, Hyderabad and (vii) member, Board of Studies, Water Resources Engineering, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad.
