INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WIND ENERGY: MATERIALS, ENGINEERING AND POLICIES

NOV 22-23, 2012, BITS PILANI, HYDERABAD CAMPUS

Renewable energy sources have become a necessity rather than a choice and there is a huge potential for wind energy but there is a lot to be perfected in all aspects. Particularly most regions of many countries including India are classified as low wind energy regimes necessitating identification of appropriate models for estimation and realization of potentials, site selection, new materials such as composites, new techniques of manufacturing, and policy making. This conference is aimed at providing a platform for discussion and dissemination of knowledge through the participation of all stake holders also leading to certain recommendations on future course of action.

For more details see the Conference website: www.wemep2012.com

Mechanical Engineering Department Brochure

Text Books by Prof. S.P.Regalla

1. Srinivasa Prakash Regalla, "Computer Aided Analysis and Design", IK International Publishers, New Delhi, 2010.
2. Srinivasa Prakash Regalla and Kuldip Singh Sangwan, "Product Design and Manufacturing: A Collaborative and Product Lifecycle Approach", New Age International Publishers, 2010.

Achievements

1. Dr. N. S. K. Reddy got ABG seed grant in nano-lubrication in machining.
2. Almost 100% of the first semester on-campus final year students of BE (Hons)(Mechanical Engineering) are already placed in different companies, many of them in the core mechanical engineering companies. Several students have presented their project work in different International conferences.
