About the Faculty

Dr. Amrita Chatterjee is a Professor at Department of Chemistry, BITS-Pilani K. K. Birla Goa, India since June 2021. Before that she was in the same department as an Associate professor since June 2016 and Assistant Professor since April 2009. Dr. Chatterjee received her Ph.D degree from Jadavpur University (INDIA) in 2006 and M.Sc (Organic Chemistry) from  Department of Chemistry, University of Calcutta, West Bengal (INDIA) in 2000.  She worked as postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Center for Integrated Molecular Systems, POSTECH (Pohang University of Science and Technology) from July 2006 to March 2009 with Prof. Kyo Han Ahn. Her current research focused on Molecular sensors using Aggregation-Induced emission (AIE), ESIPT  and conventional dye molecules; Graphene oxide and Carbon nano dots based material for sensing application; nanoparticle based sensors polydiacetylene based sensor and green chemistry.
