Department of Pharmacy provided several consultancy services to some pharmaceutical industries and analyzed the pharmaceutical products submitted by the industries. The Department successfully finished a project sponsored by IPCA Laboratories Ltd, Mumbai for design of once daily oral controlled release formulation of Aceclofenac. The department is also working on another project sponsored by IPCA. The company has given few more major projects of formulation development and work is under progress. During the year Department of Pharmacy received another project from Torrent Research Centre, Ahmedabad in the area of Nano-Particulate Drug delivery Systems of Anti Cancer Drugs. The work on this project has already started and one research scholar fully sponsored under the project has been selected. Interaction is going on with few more industries who are interested to provide projects. Number of equipments have been added to the existing facilities through these project grants. Research activities have been increased in terms of projects funded by Government agencies and Industry, research scholars, publications, papers presentation in National/International conferences and symposiums/ workshops.
