Prof. G.Raghurama

Friends,
Welcome to the Pilani Campus of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani.

The Pilani campus is the oldest campus of BITS. Though located in Rajasthan, known for its extreme climatic conditions, the campus is sprawling with trees and greenery and is like an oasis in the midst of a desert. The campus has about 4000 students coming from different parts of the country and provides a culturally diverse environment. About 270 faculty and 150 staff live on the campus along with their families. The campus is always full of activity with students and faculty enthusiastically participating in a number of clubs and associations and festivities.

The campus provides an ideal opportunity to students to learn and shape their career. Students who have graduated from BITS recall their stay in the campus with lot of nostalgia, and always look forward to come back to relive some of those sweet memories.
We have embarked on a massive project to modernize and expand the physical infrastructure in the campus. In the next 3 to 4 years, the campus will have new academic buildings, new housing blocks for student, faculty and staff. We will also be re-architecturing and modernizing the existing buildings.

We are deeply engaged in converting our Vision 2020 into reality. We have some of the best faculty of the country who tirelessly work to make BITS one of the top Institutions in the country. We respect merit, encourage Innovation and collaboration.

These are exciting times for us at BITS. I invite bright students and faculty to come and be a part of BITS family.
Your comments and suggestions are always welcome. Email me at graghu@bits-pilani.ac.in .
Take a tour of our campus virtually or in person. I am sure you will be impressed the more you learn about Pilani campus.

Raghurama G.
Director, Pilani Campus.
