    Forbes 2017 under 30 Asia

    Sudheendra Chilappagari, a pass out of 2014 batch from BITS Pilani campus has been named in the Forbes 2017 ‘30 Under Asia 30 List’. He completed his B. Tech from BITS Pilani (Rajasthan) in 2014. He is the native of Karimnagar. His father Ch. Manohara Rao, is a librarian in government junior college, and mother Vanaja is a government school teacher in the town. He is the co-founder of a start-up firm Belong. co, which has been selected in the Forbes 2017 '30 Under Asia 30 List'. It is an online recruiting platform based in Bengaluru, which not only examines resumes but also analyzes the social media behavior and responses of the candidates to get the holistic picture.

  • CRSI Bronze Medal for Dr. Dalip Kumar

    CRSI Bronze Medal for Dr. Dalip Kumar

     
    Dr. Dalip Kumar, Professor of Chemistry, has been selected for the CRSI Bronze Medal- 2017 by the Chemical Research Society of India (CRSI) for his contributions to research in Chemistry. CRSI was founded by Bharat Ratna Prof. C. N. R. Rao and is the largest chemical society in our country. More details about the award and CRSI can be found at http://www.crsi.org.in/.
     
    Prof. Dalip Kumar works in the areas of synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry while focusing on identification of novel anticancer agents and ascertaining their mechanism of action. As a result of his research accomplishment, he has around 125 international publications in peer reviewed journals. He has been involved in research for the last 22 years and in teaching for 14 years. He has guided seven Ph. D students and currently supervising six Ph. D. students. Additionally, to his credit he also has one US patent, one Indian patent and handled several major projects funded by DST, DRDO, UGC, CSIR, DBT, DST-JSPS and Ranbaxy Research Labs. He has also delivered several invited talks in various national and international conferences.
