Multi-Campus University:
Since BITS is a multi-campus university,employers get access to a much greater number of students educated within the BITS system. The students are admitted using the same admission criteria across the four campuses, and have similar facilities and infrastructure at their disposal. As a result, the quality of graduating students is maintained at a high level in all the campuses.
Education System:
The curriculum is dynamic with continuous addition of new courses to incorporate cutting edge knowledge. Industry experience is a part of the curriculum and lays the base for students to work in the industry. The curriculum offers opportunities for students to carry out research through project type courses. A lot of emphasis is laid on practical applications through project work and industrial training through the Practice School program.
Overall Development:
Students govern many of their own affairs other than classroom work. Various student bodies, operate clubs, and organize cultural, technical and sports festival at all campuses. At BITS, we believe in supporting students in developing them into well-rounded personalities.
Ratings:
BITS, Pilani has been consistently ranked high in all surveys. Outlook Survey referred to BITS as, “Amongst the top 10 destinations for engineering education; ranked No. 1 for its Industrial Interface & Personality development.” In 2008 after a combined assessment of Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai campuses, the Government of India's National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) gave BITS its highest grade, A and also one of the highest CGPAs of 3.71.
