All the departments on the campus hold workshops from time to time to share knowledge with the students and with participants from outside the campus.

Three day Workshop on Tools and Techniques in Statistics and Simulation

To be held on September 29, 30 and October 1 2011
Statistical data analysis is essential today for all professionals, particularly for researchers, engineers, managers and analysts who face a dynamic and competitive world. The availability of various multivariate techniques and user-friendly statistical software has resulted in improved ability to analyze large amounts of data. The objective of this workshop is to introduce widespread tools and techniques for data analysis and to foster multi-disciplinary research in these areas.

Two Day Workshop on Residual Life Assessment of Thermal Power Plant Components

To be held at BITS, Pilani on 14th Feb - 15th Feb 2011
Academicians, research scholars, students aspiring for a career on power sector and working professionals in thermal power plants involved in operation and maintenance. All the leading power sector companies are likely to participate in the workshop.

Workshop on MEMS Design using COMSOL, INTELLI SUITE and COVENTOR for Northern Region

To be held at BITS, Pilani from 19th - 24th feb 2011.
The event is proposed to conduct a workshop on the design of MEMS devices as a part of Software training program for faculties and students working in the Northern region MEMS Design Centers established under NPMASS HR parc. The hands-on training series with examples of MEMS design using CoventerWare, Intellisuite & COMSOL software tools will be conducted by the software providers and experts. The hands-on software training series will be spread over six days, six to eight hours each day; software training will be carried out for two days on each of the three softwares. The workshop will constitute a theoretical and practical session by resources drawn from software developers namely Future Techno designs (P) Ltd. Bangalore, BigTech Pvt. Ltd. Bangalore, COMSOL India and the faculty of BITS Pilani.
