Welcome to BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus. From a modest beginning in 2000, BITS Pilani-Dubai Campus (BPDC) at Dubai International Academic City , Dubai , UAE has grown into a fully integrated International Campus of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, Rajasthan , India (BITS Pilani). BPDC has the distinction of being the first offshore campus of an Indian Higher Education Institution. It was established in response to the growing needs for quality engineering education for the residents of Middle East .

BITS Pilani , established in 1964, is the number one private university and has its parent campus at Pilani and two other campuses in India at Goa ( BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus , established in 2004) and at Hyderabad ( BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus , established in 2008). BITS Pilani was established with the aim to provide and promote quality higher education and research on par with international standards and to train young men and women able and eager to create and put into action ideas, methods techniques and information. It persistently seeks and adopts innovative methods to improve the quality of higher education.

BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus carries forward the Charter of the brand BITS Pilani and is committed to the highest standards of academic excellence, inculcating learning skills, creativity, teamwork and leadership. In bringing BITS Pilani among top global universities, I foresee Dubai Campus playing a major role. The world class facilities – computing, laboratory and other educational and recreational facilities, library etc., aid and enrich the process of learning.

The B.E.(Hons.) programmes offered at BPDC subject the students to an overall transformation, training them to be makers of tomorrow, and better human beings. The rigorous syllabi not only instill in them, a passion for knowledge but also attempt to teach them how to apply that knowledge to real situations.

The unique system of education with flexibilities and options to students like Electives, Practice School Programme etc. gives us a distinct character. In the Practice School Programme students are exposed to the work environment and get the hands on experience in solving real life problems during their educational years. The academic flexibilities are complemented by a breadth of activities outside the classroom. Every student finds exhaustive opportunities to participate in and contribute to a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. We lay emphasis on well-rounded personality development of the students and also in schooling the values of teamwork and integrity in them. We strive to develop each bitsian to work with all vigor and values for the betterment of humankind and train them for lifelong learning.

We also offer uniquely designed and structured evening programmes to meet learning aspirations of enthusiastic and bright working executives, entrepreneurs and professionals, who have a desire to enhance their knowledge and skills in a formal setting while continuing to be engaged in their ongoing professions/businesses.

The graduates from BITS Pilani, Dubai Campus have done exceedingly well in all spheres of life and brought name and fame for themselves as well as to their Alma Mater. I always advise my students to make best use of the opportunity and challenge them to aim high and contribute to the enrichment of academic environment today, and later to lead professions so that they effectively contribute to the improvement of society; I encourage our faculty to continue providing a stellar professional education and exploring innovative venues for research and creative inquiry.
